Terry the "UniGeezer" documents a couple interesting encounters while doing a 9 mile MUni trail ride, 7/16/09, at Sullivan Canyon, CA. Then a very short clip of me & Jeremy doing a bit of riding at the Santa Monica Pier.

  • Cool stuff .... as usual!

    Ride on!!!!

  • Thanks Shug!

  • i was riding my unicycle along a trail one day, and there was a medium sized rattlesnake stretched across the trail..and i was about 2 ft away before i saw him. however, i fell backwards onto my back, lept up and sprinted in the opposite direction leaving my uni where it was LOL. couldnt hear the rattler goin off, but if i came a bit closer, no doubt we woulda tried to strike at something

  • In my experience, snakes including rattlers won't try to bite or strike unless they feel cornered and threatened. The main reason is that they need to preserve their venom for prey that they catch and eat, and don't want to waste it on something way to big they know they can't eat...us! So they will only bite as a total last resort to survive.

  • Is'nt it scarry to hold a snake like that? I had a couple of axidents when i was 11 yers old with snakes so i'm dont brave enough to tutch or be nearby them!

Any helpfull tips? Sry for my bad english?

  • I have alot of experience with snakes have also kept them as pets. All non-poisonous haha. That gopher snake and others like king snakes are pretty easy to handle, even out of the wild. They rarely bite since they know it would be a waste of time since you are so much bigger.

But when I see them in harm's way out in the open like that, I like to put them back into the brush so they will be safe from bikes, dogs and jerks who think it's cool to just kill them for no reason.
