We should all boycott EA even on consoles they need to be put out of business.
But do support any developer who is not an asshole and does not use invasive DRM

The "Oh you're only allowed three installs ever." thing is fucking retarded. Why do they care so much about someone installing a game on another PC? Honestly, who actually DOES that? The CD-key system alone worked well enough. Once someone asked for my Diablo II CD-key and I simply said No. What the fuck was wrong with that system? Hell, they might as well implement this system in DVD movies now too. Can't have someone watching a DVD on a friend's "unregistered" DVD player now can we?

i love how pirated games are easier to install and have no drm on them... its just a hassle for the paying customers -.-

only 3 times? The fuck?>

When you think how EA would go bankrupt if ppl would not buy any of their content with DRM on it, well, that's the solution right there. The real problem is people are too mindless to realize it and be part of the *real* solution. Money talks. Make EA lose money over this, they'll have no choice but to revert their ways. Same goes for any other company using DRM. It's why I boycott Sony.

I just got the game and Installed it without a hitch and when I go to the Autorun and hit play , It asks me for a Registration Code -I've looked in the Manuals on the Disc the readme's , NOTHING. Im just stuck here. Please someone point me in the right direction to get a code or another route alternatively. Thanks in advance (Sorry for the noobish like question.)

you can remove that shit, you need to delete some ea.dll file,i did same with burnout paradise and it worked

@wooka64 to use it and be on the Internet to play games. as fare as im concerned, Ea needs to change it ways or let me pay 5 bucks to rent their games. thats the only way I am willing to put up with it. 50 bucks should be worth at least worth 50 installs , but I wont be happy intell I own what I pay for. as far as im concerned, EA is breaking the law because it becoming a monopoly and last I check I thought that was illegal lol.

The Roms are made to suck more money out of the user. Just like sombody said", console games last only so long, so companies really make DRMs so they can force you to rebuy games you bought years ago because you used up you installation. Ea and companies like this are stealing from us. This is why I prefer Linux to windows. The only down side is if I want to play a high quality drm free game I have to make it myself for the most part. Steam will benefit from this but I don't like being forced

@riftguy so if i just bough mass effect and didn't know that i had only 3 machines to install it on, and i installed it on 2 already, but took them off, to see if it would work then i only have 1 instalation left? Let me knoe please. As well as ways to counter this, if it is possible.

EA GAMES ALWAYS FUCK UP !!! i need a registration code reaaally badly so im going to like crack it or something cheers
In case you can't read the error I get when I run it, it says: "The game can not start. For security reasons, only a limited number of machines can ever be licensed by a single purchase. This limit has been reached. Please purchase another registration code, reinstall, and then try again."

This is what happens when I try to run Mass Effect. They say you get to install it on three machines, but it's false. If you re-install Windows (to try to fix why the game isn't working) or upgrade hardware (for me a video card and a case fan) then it burns up the activations.
So after playing for two days I'm being treated like a criminal and having to beg EA to let me play.
DON'T BUY THIS GAME UNLESS THEY GET RID OF THIS CRAP. Wait for Force Unleashed or go pick up a copy of KOTOR instead.
