Phil X jams Little Wing, by Jimi Hendrix, in a small bar in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

Although the venue only had a small riser for a stage, a low ceiling, two light stands and a tiny sound system, the local audience was treated to an amazing night of rock on August 29th 2009. The Musicians in the jam night included; Guitarist (Phil X), Bassist (Kevin Gingrich) and Drummer (Paul Hoffman).

Phil X spent a few years kicking around the club scene in Toronto, Canada. It wasn't long before he started developing a reputation as a guitarist with some serious power behind his sound. One day, after a twist of fate, he was asked to play for Tommy Lee. The next day he was in the studio and began recording guitars for MCA's Methods of Mayhem (Dec.'99). Since his reputation as being a raw, inventive and energetic guitarist got around, Phil X has recorded with Daughtry, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Rob Zombie, Gavin Degraw, Alice Cooper, Andrew W.K. and many more.

@asmithgdci Actually I thought this was the LIttle Wing from 2009 Sorry, the guitar in this video is a Freiheit Hybrid Strat. The body is hand oiled Alder, highly figured quilted maple neck with a rosewood board and is loaded with Chris Kinman pickups. anyone interested in these guitars can contact Brad Freiheit directly. Well Phil should not even have to answer this really. When these videos were created I named all the videos at those shows PHIL X JAMS because the shows were just messing around with friends and for fun. Lots of songs called out from the audience etc. They were not rehearsed and involved a lot of imrorvising etc. It's just about fun and playing with friends. People seem to really like them so it does not matter what they are called I figure. Thanks for watching.

umm dude... " (i.e. "jam") by IMPROVISING without extensive preparation" by you, and in response... " this was the first time the 3 of us played together and just picked a bunch of songs to play with no rehearsal" so by definition, they are jamming....
