This social disorder had middle class people too-a social worker,student, ballerena and the girl who was to welcome the olympics.

Its not "atheism" so much as the systematic mockery and destruction of the Christian "ideals" that used to set ideal (IDEAL, not practice) behaviors. Raised without even the pretense of these ideals people have less mental inclination NOT to do whatever they can get away with. Not so far to fall..?

Without the IDEA of morality why would you expect people to BE moral?

@AngryWomble Thats not really true through is it? Their sticking close to the important virtues of their society- consumption, measuring success by Meterial possession, instant gratification of urges and the individual having rights to do WHATEVER they want.

Or am I wrong? If so pls tell me how.

They no longer just "dont DO" the golden rule- they have been taught to REJECT IT as having no real value- look at the MP's and the way they LAUGHED OFF the expense scandal for an example.

@evensgrey Good point, actually. Physics is more my thing, if I'm honest. I was just told by a biologist friend that wild bananas aren't edible and that the ones we eat are the result of hybridization and selective breeding. Interestingly, the banana Comfort used as his "atheists' nightmare" can't reproduce without human intervention.

@Corneilius5188 Well, it IS edible, but it's one of those fruits that works like a vegetable. Most other varieties are usually called plantains in English and can be prepared, for the most part, like potatoes (and are supposed to have a similar flavor and texture if unripe). As these are a basically tropical plant, and potatoes are basically temperate, it makes for a convenient replacement if you want to go locovore.

Ray Comfort is a disingenuous prick. I would advise everyone to ignore him, if I'm honest. His best case for god was a fucking banana and we all know how that turned out. (Humans are responsible for breeding the modern banana, the original banana isn't edible).
