@nonshalont602 Amen. Maybe we all turned into our fathers' oldsmobile's, but pop music went down the tubes in the early 90's. Why? Who knows. Corruption of our culture? The fact that people are only concerned about the performers appearance. I don't know. I just know the music over the last 20 years is awful.

Saw this on PBS when they did the doo-wop show on TV. It was the first time I saw the Capris. My husband and I both have an album compiled by a local radio station with their original hit.

True Rock and Roll is where you can understand and relate to the song.
Rock and Roll once ment a "roll in the hay" not a music genre.
Music today is about expressing a mood by yelling and screaming, if you could take away the poor vocals and electronic modifications most of the guitar and drum action is quite creative. BTW: I have been working with bands for over 35 years....

I'll say it again to just piss you off, because it's true. the music nowadays is crap. the music from the past is the path that got music where it is now. but in the early 90's it started to take the wrong path to crap. music nowadays is about money, sex, and bitches. respect for music nowadays is gone cause theres no talent and no originalty.

Well, most groups and artists back then didn't write their own music too.. Like elvis, he didn't write his own music, he was only a good singer with good looks. And so what the music now is about sex and girls? The music 50 years ago was about sex too, but it was written in another language.. Now they're singing: suck me bitch bla bla. Tutti Frutti was about sex too! (elvis covered it (chuck berry)
I'm not saying this to you but to everybody.
But i agree music now is not very good (mtv music)
