  • Did not like that arrangement at all although I do love Herbie Hancock. Josh Groban as usual is a true professional and looked at Hancock jokingly towards the end as if to say "WTF were you playing at this time? LOL

  • Josh is such a pro.

Herbie did his best to screw up that song, but that is not possible with Josh Groban.

If anything, Herbie looked like the amateur.

If anyone else was up on that stage besides Josh, they would have been devastated.

  • @Someone2knoe Yeah, maybe with a different singer. But somehow it sounded as if they were fighting.

  • The piano part was amazing... just because he incorporated his jazz background into the song everyone freaks out. Probably because of that part where he gets free with it.

You know why you people preferred Josh Groban? Because He is pop and that is what you are used to. But that doesn't mean I don't like Josh Groban. It was a great performance by both of them.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't make it bad.

  • can't believe Josh was able to keep on singing like that while Herbie did all he could to play different melodies in between!

  • I didn't like the piano arrangement. It was weird. Josh Groban is a great singer!

  • dope shit :)

  • Fabulous as always Josh!

  • And furthermore, after what he has accomplished as a musician (beyond technically, I am talking another level) he can do whatever the hell he wants! And as another technicality, he didnt gobble up the lyrics, those were FILLS he was doing in between phrases, like a call and answer. Lyrical context is answered with instrumental context to give it COLOR, and the passages were busy to give contrast to the sustained melody, but I guess all of you wouldn't know about that, now would you!?

  • You all need to leave Herbie alone. First off, Josh wouldnt have invited him if he wanted just a straight ahead amateur rendition, he would have hired some studio regular. He knew, like you all should, that Herbie is an exclusive ARTIST and that's why Josh had him there, to add his flare as only Herbie could. And he didn't look at him like WTF, it was stage presence. If you dont like the arrangement, that is okay, whatever, but show Herbie some damn respect! It's called ART!
