Greetings! Here is one from the vault! I forgot I did this vid and found it on a long lost SD Card. So without further adieu, Bachelor Stew, here is what you will need to make this recipe:

1 pound of ground beef, or the ground meat of your choice.
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small can of mushroom stems and pieces
1 large (26 ounce) jar of your favorite pasta sauce
1/2 pound of your favorite cut pasta, I used elbow macaroni today.

Brown ground beef with garlic and onion, cook until onions are translucent. Add mushrooms with liquid to deglaze the pan and then add your pasta sauce. Fill your sauce jar up with water and add that to the pan. Stir. This will look very soupy, that is alright. Add your dry pasta and stir, to combine. Cover and simmer over medium heat for approximatley 15 minutes, until pasta has absorbed the liquid and is soft.

Serve with garlic bread and a green salad and you are good to go. I used some hot dog buns I had in the freezer and just split them, brushed them with melted butter and sprinkled with garlic powder, parmesean chees and dried parsley, put them under the broiler for a couple of minutes until they were brown and bubbly.

I hope you like this and I hope you enjoy it! I have been working feverishly on some new videos that will focus on homemade gifts from the kitchen that you can give for the holidays, so look for my new Home for the Holidays series coming in the next week or so!

See Ya!

  • Sorry, "how your father cooks it."

  • @atticus9799 Hi Noreen, should the onions go into the pot before the ground beef and the garlic? I've seen you do so in all of your stew cooking video that I've seen so far. Or is it exactly the way you remember how your father used to cook it?
