Is it possible to treat autism in a teenager? I have a friend with an autisitc teenage son and was wondering whether there is anything that can be done? Is it too late to treat at the age of 14?

The book "Enzymes for Autism" by Karen DeFelice contains a great story about an older child who had autism and was completely non-verbal and pretty much non-communicative. The child ended up going away to college after recovering through nutritional intervention.

I have been on the pill for 7 years and got off of it because I didn't like the idea of unnatrual hormones being put in my body. A few months ago I got really bad acne (I think from candida) and alter my diet which didn't help much. I stopped taking the pill I can tell a big difference. This confirmed the pill had a negative impact on good bacteria. Natural is the way to go and seeing many special education kids in my teaching profession, I will promote only what is intended to be in our bodies.

Thanks for sharing your info! There is so much drug-induced gut dysbiosis happening, but most people are not aware of it. Antibiotics are not the only thing that disrupt the balance of friendly bacteria in our gut.

My parents paid these people thousands for the original "testing." Obviously I could care less if all they had to do was buy a book and ferment some vegetables. Try to do a little research before wasting time and money on ridiculous pseudoscience.

How is this approach expensive? It's a $30 book and some probiotics and fermented vegetables, right? It's obvious you have no idea what you are talking about.

Hello. I´ve read that vacciantion of childs has raised the rate of autism about the factor 10 - 20 x in the USA since 1989. From my point of view "Klinoptilolith-Zeolith" is a proper & natural way to get mercury out of the body. Greetings from germany.
