The ELR I found is called Math Arcade.
This game is available online for free and is easily accessible at www.funbrain.com .
Math Arcade is set up like a board game. After you play a game you are given a password and progress to the next game. I like this because a student can see their progress and start right where they left off.
A record can also be kept for the teacher. Each time the student beats a game and is ready to move to the next one, they are given a password. The password has a print option, so the page can be printed and given to the teacher at the end of the game time.
This game is multi sensory with eye catching graphics and colors as well as fun sounds and encompasses a variety of interests from basketball, to swimming, to ancient mummies all while doing math.
I think this game is a great extension tool for math as well as review.
As you saw it is appropriate for all skill levels.
One down side to this game as you may have seen was the amount of instructions the student has to read before playing the game. The instructions are through but it is a lot to read.
This game is self explanatory and can be played by students independently with little to no teacher aid.
Although not explicitly seen, the ELR meets grade level standards for 1-6 grade and ranges from addition to division based on the skill level.
Looks like fun! Nice job Ashley!
