  • 1986 K5 Blazer update - Due to the economy going south and me being in the construction industry and problems with the motor the blazer has been sitting for 2-3 years . I've sold some parts off from it. and started to rip the motor out blah, blah. I'm in the process of buying a house with a 2 bay garage. After that goes through I'm going to restart this project. I plan on redoing the paint to a metallic blue. Go through the motor and see whats wrong with it. I'll post updates ASAP.

  • I got a question I am also rebuilding my K5 and I was wondering when you put the carpet in did you put Insulation down? and what glue did you use to put the carpet down...it be a big help if you helped me.

  • @Lukethebeast101 .......Yes I used......SILVER FOIL BUBBLE WRAP INSULATION you can get it at Lowe's or Home depot......I got my carpet from lowes.....no glue it just lays down. Seats and trim hold it down

  • Don't you think it would have been easier to use the old floor as a template for the new one so you didn't have to take as much time or work making the new floor from scratch...?

  • @tharrington11 Easier said then done......the old one was rusty and rotted plus I didn't use a spot weld bit to cut the spots weld on the floor so it came out in chunks
