Last seen in the early 1990s, Simon Munnery resurrected "The Security Guard" for the Ted Chippington Benefit gig at the Bloomsbury Theatre on 5th Feb 2007. The Security Guard was basically the God and Jesus act without God (aka Stephen Cheeke).

  • This guy is the closest thing we have to a comedy genius at the moment. Fuck Ricky Gervais, fuck Little Britain, fuck Catherine Tate. This man is a God.

I so wish they'd release Either Or on DVD...

  • Thank you. Oh thank you.

  • @qwertyuiopdan1 that can only be his fault over yours.

  • @BarnacleGooseInvalid It's funny.. 1 year on I completely agree with his statement.

  • @qwertyuiopdan1 dunno, i'm pretty convinced.

  • One person was a security guard and couldn't understand the jokes!

  • @goatboy420 Catherine Tate was in Simon's show 'Attention Scum' in the 90's.

  • @destructorcreator "They" would be the people that have the footage, and own the rights.

And alas, as I'm not one of them, it'd be somewhat tricky for me to release the series.

    Nice idea, though...

  • @goatboy420 Who's "they"? Do what Gofasterstripe did and release it yourself. I'll go in on it with you.

  • Would you let this man look after anything worth any thing I wouldn't smifffy00

  • However, why call me a moron just because we have a difference of opinion? And as to your assertation that I have no clue about comedy? Sorry, but that is just utterly, utterly wrong. I could list any number of comedy greats, people whose influence is still felt. I have read biographies, and autobigraphies, on and by some of the most celebrated comedians of the last ninety years. I would suggest, sir, that you ar a little more considerate with what you post online.
