  • There was exculpatory evidence that was being conveniently ignored by the prosecution so that they get conviction of Mr.Cotton . Blood typing from the rape kits and theblood droplet left at the second crime scene was not of the same type as Mr. Cotton's . Mr. Cotton had rare O type blood. No biological evidence was presented in court against him.

  • i had seen this story on tv. This is some stuff.

  • Wow, this video is emotional and I'm an advocate of memoirs. I will be reading this one.

  • i heard about this in a magazine it was so shocking that i had to know more about it so i went on youtube to see if they have video about this. i just started reading the book. to think that they could be friends after this i dont blame jen she made a mistake and she was a victom to. ronald is one in a billion he just proved how kind hearted a human really is and showed the true power of forgiveness. i am a grown man well almost 19 and i was heart broken. i wish i could meet those two people.

  • I have read the book. Excellent read. Ronald and Jennifer are wonderful friends now.

Very emotional read. Both were victims.

Oh, and I believe they co-wrote the book.

  • I hope the woman shares book royalties of her enterprise with the true victim, Mr. Cotton. What's sad is that prosecutors in this country who give juries false evidence are never held accountable. There should be a law that if prosecutors, the so-called defenders of right send an innocent person to prison, the prosecutor should be disbarred and serve the time in prison served by the innocent person they wrongly convicted. That law would awake prosecutors to do their job correctly the first time

  • First of all, everyone should remember that Jennifer was brutally raped and is a victim. The entire judicial system is at fault, not just her ID. Remember that there was a lot of circumstantial evidence against Mr. Cotton. If Ronald has the ability to forgive her, then nobody else has the right to judge. Her ordeal has made her fight for the rights of all inmates sentenced due to solely eyewitness testimony. She and Ron are a true inspiration to us all.

  • Wow! What tremendous courage that both of these people have. Jennifer is so amazing, there are many people that wouldn't even admit that they're wrong. But Jennifer does and then she worked to not only rectify her own mistake - but then she puts herself out there in order to better the justice system as a whole. Truly an amazing lady! And Ronald - also amazing - the abilty to forgive and move on and then work to better a system that messed up his life, he is an inspiration.

  • Bottom line, Jennifer did not intentionally and maliciously pick out Ronald Cotton, she was shown a series of photos and a lineup that had Mr Cotton in them (not Poole) and she identified him. Their resemblance was stunning (note part of story where Ronald makes the connection in prison), For the info of those commenting without knowing story-Ronald was also accused of another rape and that victim has chosen to stay anonymous and not apologize. The system failed, Jennifer works to change that

  • This is a very compelling story and I think everyone should take the time to read it. Jennifer should be an inspiration to us all....after all she was a victim too!!! Together she and Mr. Cotton are trying to make sure this never happens again. Their friendship is a testimony to what true forgiveness is. Thanks so much Jennifer and Ronald Cotton!!!!!
