  • Would you believe it goes back THIS far to where I stopped watching vids??...omg!! Great train consist, I had forgotten that it carried quite a few PV's. That Plaza Santa Fe PV (1st dome) was built in 1950 and was part of the Santa Fe's Super Chief consist for many years-- had a luxury "Turquoise Room" for dining, and was a big favorite of all the famous old-time movie stars that rode the Super Chief from LA to Chicago frequently.

  • @Squawk7600 O my gawd!!! Larry is back!!!! Shocking that this is how far back you have to go!!!!

I have shot the Plaza Santa Fe car many times over the years and I got a personal private tour of the inside of it due to one of my sources knowing the owner of the car.

  • Very interesting collection of cars.. a Rio Grande and NYC private car, and even 2 dome cars.. You know the heritage of the first by chance? Also, that Amtrak dome is 1 of a kind.

  • @xxxDeath9572xxx Thanks. This is the yearly Reno Fun train that runs between the Bay area of California and Reno, Nevada. That Amtrak dome is one of a kind and I actually got to ride in it between Los Angeles, Ca and San Luis Obispo, Ca.

  • Nice mix! :-) .....and Horn.

  • @Modeltrainguy Thanks!!!

  • @xxxDeath9572xxx That first dome car behind the locos is the Plaza Santa Fe, normally would be hooked up with the Royal Gorge, the yellow car at :51. Then the grey car behind the Royal Gorge is the Overland Trail. Wayne Yetter owns the PSF and the RG, Bill Hatrick owns the Overland Trail. The OT is different colors on each side, in a video response there are interviews with Wayne and Bill.

  • @PhilbruProduction Thanks!!!!!

  • Nice catch. 5*

  • @Harleygirl1718 Thanks!!!! If you search my youtube account I also have a few other vids of the Reno Fun Train in action on Donner Pass over the years.
