  • I'm trying to write but can't seem to write an ending only a everlasting story.Any tips to cap it off?

  • @NightmaresinmyEye Try writing the plot in outline and then try to come up with several different endings, and then you can use the one that seems to fit best. I usually come up with the ending first and then I have to build a story around it. Perhaps if your story is going on and on you are actually writing a novel and just don't know it! That would be cool. I wish I could figure out how to write a novel.

  • I need to get on with trying my hand more at writing, I've done one story, but I don't know it didn't come out as I wanted really :C

    Any suggestions?

  • @YuushaKaiser Stories sometimes take a long time to feel "right," to express what you want to make it express. It often helps to read your work aloud. Sometimes you just need to set one story aside and ignore it for a few weeks while you work on another, and then return to it with "fresh eyes," so to speak.

  • Many thanx for watching. I love that YouTube has given me this outlet to celebrate weird fiction and my life as a horror author. There are many Lovecraftians and Mythos fans here at YouTube, so it feels very much like family.

  • So happy I stumbled onto your channel by the way! I tell my closest friends about Lovecraft and lend out the two books I do have (treasured possessions) and pointing people to the dagonbytes library.

  • I love Lovecraftian fiction. I only discovered it a couple of years ago but I've read many stories by him, the circle, and other Lovecraftian augthors, including more modern ones. I'm so jealous of your books! It's so hard to find them here in Asia-I found two collections and borrowed three more from the library in my old school (of all places!!). I will have to look for your stories now too!

  • @MrWilum

Thanks for the advice, I hadn't thought of reading it out loud :D

I'm definitely going to work with my idea some more.

  • I so thoroughly enjoy your video blogs.
