MANOMET — .Four people were injured in a head-on collision on State Road in Manomet early Monday afternoon.
Capt. John Rogers said a man, a woman and a19-month old child were in one of the two vehicles. The man and child were taken by MedFlight helicopter to Boston hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. The woman and the man driving the other vehicle were taken by ambulance to Jordan Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident occurred shortly after noon near 590 State Road, near the Star of Siam restaurant.
Rogers said one of the vehicles crossed the double yellow line of the road and crashed head-on into the other vehicle. Police did not release the names of the victims or the makes of the vehicles.
Rogers said rescue crews had to cut some of the victims from the wreckage.
The accident closed a stretch of State Road between the northern ends of Brook and Bartlett roads.

I know this family. God is gracious. All are alive in the second car. I have not heard from the family of the driver that crossed the center line, but I am sure they feel awful over what happened.
