The Class of '65 toured Fenger High School (Chicago IL) in May, 2006. Memories were found in all of the usual places, like the gymnasiums, auditorium, quad, etc. More surprising were the hidden memories. The heat of the radiators in the entry halls on a snowy day, the slight scent of woodwinds in the band room, the big clock in the auditorium that signaled our release from study hall, various forgotten architectural gargoyles. Sadly, Fenger is closing in June, so this was a unique opportunity, never to be repeated.

Great video. Makes me cry. Had to leave my home, our school. Lots of us missed out completing our high school years here. Like fleeing a war torn country. It's not right.

I graduated in 1964. What a great
opportunity to walk backward in time.
This video brought back many memories.
(Especially liked the focus on Rm.143; one of the ladies should have "showcased" Rm. 126.

Don't worry class of 1965, Fenger is not closing down, it is jus getting turned around meaning new rules and new staff and faculty. Jus tryna make it a better place
