Thats only good for piracy! I could steal generators off of your boat and you wouldnt hear me comming. Great Idea for the pirates out there! ARRG

That is a neat PWC, but I could see the lack of engine noise being dangerous. There have been times when i'm riding my JetSki that i have heard other PWC's before i saw them. The range would also be a concern to me, the lake I ride on is 60 miles from Dam to the mouth of the river that feeds it, and i have several times gone the whole length and back on my Kawasaki, but had to get fuel. This would be cool for cove riding, but not offshore or tour riding. Cool idea though.

It would have no guts at all. and the sound of a normal jetski is great.

It's the Jet that i ever waited for. A jet without noise, a good speed and total respect of environement. Good Job.

A new complete engine and all it's components from the manufacturer will run you around $6500... That doesn't include fuel pump, starter motor, ECU... etc. The cost of a new gas powered water craft wouldn't be much different than an electric. Electric motors are maintenance free, and can be run in lakes, rivers, and reservoirs that won't allow gas powered water craft.

I think it's amazing how small minded the boater comunity is. They're even worse than the Automobile industry which is a good 5 years behind the technology curve on electric power. Boating is about 8 years behind the curve. They've only just started taping lithium power! With Lithium Iron Ferrite Polymer batteries the power/weight ratio is so much higher than sealed glass mat batteries that are cutting edge on the marina now. A brushless DC motor can produce far more power than a gas motor

its going to be easier to just use gas, cost alot to charge it, 3 hours is not alot, constant removing of a battery, bad idea

Carrying around cans off combustable liquid and pouring them into a tank that you sit on top of is a worse idea. How is changing a battery pack a bad idea?

not only is that statement extremely general its also false. The muscle crafts of each PWC development company are around 66-69 mph stock. No jetski is over 70 from the factory due to the gentlemens agreement with the coastguard.
