These are French Guinnea fowl. They are about 2 pounds heavier than the regular (smaller/helmeted) guinnea and are often raised for "use" in expensive restaurants. Yes, it is the females that make the "butt crack" noise. They also can mimic the male sounds too.
Which kind should I get? I live in Texas so space and housing is not a problem but neighbors might be which one is louder and more domestic
