Kelly found that having her baby (Justin) in the crib next to the bed was not working for either of them; they both needed to be closer to one another. Unfortunately, it was late at night when she realised that the co-sleeper that a friend had lent her was too low for her bed. Some improvising was called for!

So simple and I didn't think of it! I have the arms reach co sleeper but find that because I can't breast feed over the gap he doesn't want to be in it. Great idea!

I too was disappointed with the co-sleeper for the reasons you mention. I might try what you did to make it flush with the bed
