One more video of the Nylint Astro 95 toy semi truck. I have to wait for the paint to get hard on the cab to mask it off and stripe it, so I put togather what I have done so far. I still have to make up a set of air horns and put the interior and windshield and cab lights and turn signals on.I'm kind of debating if I want to leave the cab all white or put the blue stripes on like my real Astro, It looks pretty good like it is and I could totaly mess it up trying to put the stripes on. Hard call to make. What do you think about it? Of course the rear led clearance light came on as soon as I finished the video.

  • @TheDukesOfDippin What are you trying to find out? These were made from probly early 80's to late 90s. Nylint made them with many names on them, like grocery stores, walmart, tool companies, trucking companies, all kinds of names. Nylint had the Astro's and Eartl made International 4070's. If yours said goodwrench on it it was advertizing for chevy. Dan

  • I have a Nylint truck like this one but I was wondering what did this one look like mine said eather Goodyear or goodwrench on the side of it and am trying to find out info on it

  • @bobc83 Hi Bob thanks for the comment, I got it the stripes on now. I masked it off again and colored them all in with a blue sharpie marker. Not perfect, but looks good 5 feet away. They turned out darker than the stripes on my big Astro, but thats life. I'm going to leave the fuel tanks chrome to, so it's not going to be a perfect replica anyway. I got the truck done now, I'll post another vid when I get the trailer done. Dan

  • Dan,

That's a sweet truck you got there!

I seen somewhere before, some vinyl tape that you could use for stripes if you ever wanted to remove or redo them. I think it was made by 3M. Just a thought.

  • @bigjohnson5619 Thanks Last night I spent 3 hours masking the cab to stripe it. sprayed on the paint and it ate through the white paint and lifted the primer, it turned everything to bubble gum. I had to scrape everything off and paint it white again. I guess if it gets stripes on I'll have to brush them on. Dan

  • I Like what you did with it...
