This route is called "Moonwalk" in Arco, Italy. It is a short sport route, and I am climbing with the Soloist device. This is a redpoint in the rope free solo style. Even though the route is very short, it was still an epic battle to get the send, with just about everything going wrong.

  • Girth hitching like that is nuts, noobie 101 error. You are climbing hard grades and you don't know the basics. Take a course before you die and stop posting instructional videos.

  • @WorldClimb Different factors are involved in ground anchors than in top anchors. Girth hitches are needed so that the slings don't slide up the tree. You should check the comments on my rope solo #2 video and watch my rigging justifications video. If you don't like it that's fine. I'm not a noobie though, and I don't think my rig will be causing death anytime soon. Are you rope soloing leading? Got any suggestions that you have tried firsthand for ground anchors in this situation?
