A planned resettlement of IDPs on a land in Endebess, Trans-Nzoia county, has once again run into a wall of resistance after local residents literally blocked the move. Over 255 IDPs from Alko, in Rongai, Nakuru County found themselves stranded on their way to the promised land, as the residents opposed the resettlement, saying squatters from the area should be given priority.-- And as Sally Mbilu reports, this is not the first time the government's planned resettlement of IDPs is running into trouble.
@olyeti :
Very good observation - let the IDPs go back to Rift Valley, from where they were displaced ...or even better take them to Central Province - there is plent of land in Central Provice !
