Chicago Republicans:
"It was never a concern by any of us in the Chicago school reform movement that he had led a fugitive life years earlier," said state Republican Rep. Diana Nelson, who worked with both Obama and Ayers.
"It's ridiculous. There is no reason at all to smear Barack Obama with this association. It's nonsensical, and it just makes me crazy. It's so silly."
Nelson says Republicans "might snort ... but, I don't think anyone gives it another thought."

Better questions about Obama and Ayers:
Why did a Republican foundation give a domestic terrorist $50 million dollars to improve education in Chicago?
Why did heads of banks and businesses, universities and foundations, work with Ayers to organize the Chicago Annenberg Challenge?
Many were older and from Chicago and, unlike Obama, certainly knew Ayers' terrorist history.
Why did they appoint Obama to chair the CAC?
Radical conspiracy?
Or a diverse group of people interested in education?

Thank God that we on the internet are able to do the job that reporters are supposed to be doing - getting to the facts!
First, you guys said he didn't know him. Now we know that's a lie. Then the story was that he didn't know that he was a terrorist. No one believed that. Now the story is that it's no big deal that he worked with him for ten years.
If it was no big deal, why did he lie about it in the first place? And if a candidate lies to us, isn't that worth considering when we decide who to vote for?
