Ok, I have mixed feelings on this. It annoys me when some women in the office will talk about dudes behind their backs and then when they in the dude face, they flippin their hair and flirting etc. Just to get ahead. However, if I was in a situation where David Letterman(fyi I'm in the tv biz) made a pass at me, I would take advantage of that situation. I ain't even gonna lie. I wouldnt sleep wit him but I'd flirt enough to get contacts, etc. I just wouldn't flaunt it in front of everyone.

Great topic chic =) I think that using what u have to get what u want can only take u so far. After a few times of dressing inappropriately, it wont be long you'll be known as the 'whore' of the office, or get talked about under your clothes. There are too many nice styles out now that flatter u in other ways to where you can still be feminine (or masculine) to where you dont have to dress that way to get promoted or attention. You should have brains too, so put it to use along with that beauty!

Everyone always uses all aspects of their personality to get what they want. It's human nature, a bilogical imperative, however it's about delivery. You can do most anything IF you keep it classy. Nina Simone's Sugar in My Bowl as opposed to My Neck, My Back style, does that make sense?

i work in HR and trust me we "catch on"...lol. People should be professional on the job-case and point. Sexuality (unless you are in an industry that requires you to use your sexuality like modeling, entertainment, etc) should be reserved for your after (or before) hours life. performance and integrity and professionalism should be the focus.

Oi, I wouldn't know.. I am not exactly "pleasing to the eye" so using looks and/sexuality to advance a career or anything??Bit outside my expertise.. dunno.. I think I wouldn't like it if I got f.i. promoted on the basis of my "muscular physique" (whahahahahaha) or, if I was a girl, my boobies or bum.. instead of on the basis of my accomplishments.

Have to admit though, I do understand people that do it, and sometimes they aren't even aware of it... it's biz as usual for bo' peeps.. I guess

I like to use my "smile" and personality. Like you said if you have the "ta-tas" then it's all in how you play your look. All of us have something that makes us stand out (maybe not from the crowd) and make ppl take note. I see nothing wrong with that. Men try to use their looks, charm, and physique. I personally love it when a men knows himself and is sure of himself. I believe that's the most important quality anyone can possess.

how can I say this. its inappropriate if you are trying to actually entice the boss sexually by flirting and giving all type of messages with your body words and gestures.....but I dont see anything wrong with being feminin specially if you are a female...pencil skirts, blouses, highheals...feminin but professional...miniskirt lowcut blouse and club heels is just over doing it

oh and i was talkin about natural sex appeal by the way, not anything forced to get your way. I think if you have it, you have it, if not then you just don't. I definitely think if you have a natural way with people, of course it is used. It speaks to the character of the person as to how you use it, for manipulation or for good

Think sex appeal doesn't necessarily have to do with appearance. Is more about your vibe-natural energy you give off. There've been times I been in the store with hoodie sweatshirt on & jeans feeling good about myself, & get guys flirting, extra personal attention in the stores. I'm like wow. Other days not really feeling myself and that's what I get back to me. Definitely think its more of a vibe thing and less to do your appearance, even tho is part of it cuz i am cute. lol

I have worked in Corp America since 1983 (yeah, I'm up there a little) and I would never use that to get ahead b/c I would always wonder if they promoted me based on my abilities or my breasts. Plus, being too flirty or a little sexy can backfire on you. In this politically correct climate, you just never know how a person is going to take you. I wouldn't tone my fem appeal down, but I wouldn't flaunt it for promotion either.

if you have sex appeal it does give you some advantages no matter where you are work school the club out shopping etc. if i go anywhere dress up men treat me very nice but if im dressed down they dont really pay me any attention example i was shopping and i had on a "sexy cute outfit" my hair was down and every 5 minutes a guy would ask me if i needed help finding n e thing the next week i went to the same store with sweats and a tshirt on ..hair in a ponytail and no one said anything to me
