It's an experiment, people! Sure, it didn't work perfectly, but that's what can happen with experiments. Imagine if they never experimented with a cage, or with different styles fighting each other. Hell, imagine if people quit on the idea of MMA after the many disasters in the first few UFC events. I'm all for experiments in different kinds of matches.

LOL... might as well do some MMA bouts that are NO DQ. MMA is about one man against another man - it's not a team sport. It's about digging down deep & pushing YOURSELF. You only have yourself to rely on & you either sink or swim. THAT is what MMA is all about... it's not a team sport. While this tag team thing was interesting - it's not what MMA is about.

This is a really good experiment, I don't know if it will work, but, imagine all the possibilities..... A team composed of fighters with mixed backgrounds, that would make the fights really interesting.

I understand team elimination but I didn't think someone would try tag team. It was a good try. I don't understand why all the dislikes. Probably simply because it's different from the standard mma and people always limit themselves from seeing outside the box.
