Vern Gosdin - As country music swung back toward traditional styles in the 1980s, an inheritor of the soulful honky tonk style of Lefty Frizzell and Merle Haggard rose to the top of the business and notched hit after barroom hit.

  • I like this song by Vern - as I do all of his music. We used to kid in high school (years ago) about bedroom eyes. I never expected to hear a song about them. Vern has a terrific voice and my favorite of his is "Written in Stone". It's wonderful we get to see and hear him in these great videos, almost as good as seeing him in a live performance. Thanks livingadream for posting. - Paula

  • All of Vern's music is just wonderful! I do have Written In Stone, I just might have to post that one too....keep listening! Thanks for stopping by!

  • Thanks again. I had been wanting to hear again a song Vern did not too very long ago "The Garden" but haven't seen it anywhere. It's not the gospel song but one maybe he might have written, but I'm not sure. It's a sad song but he does it so well - as always. -Paula

  • Keep listening! I will keep you posted!!!!

  • when did this video(SONG)come out ?

  • 1982 on his Today My World Slipped Away album.
