  • Hey man thanks for letting me attach my video as a response! It's a cover version where I play all the guitar (on top of a drum/bass backing track I found on the web), and I invited a couple of singers to help. Anyway, I remember when Extreme first start gaining popularity around 1989 - they really stood out because of their great songwriting, and of course Nuno was amazing... his rhythm guitar playing was just as interesting as the solos. I'll shut up now. Rock on!

  • Nuno has it all, speed, technique, phrasing, impeccable rthym, but most of all he has taste. He always seems to pick what the song needs rather than showing off. Truly one of the best of his generation.

  • Despite not being a massive fan of technical guitar playing, nuno's pretty darn good.

  • @pakerska that's true to a point, he could be considered under rated as far as the general public goes but he's pretty respected in the guitar circle, and rightly so

  • Bad ass guitar playin right there!

  • @brib333 Vai has fantastic feel also..... sure some effects on his stuff..... however he is just as free flowing as Nuno . Vai is a master. Vai and Nuno are 2 of my top favorite guitarists including Paul Gilbert.

  • 2 people wouldn't know a good guitarist if they sat in a room with Nuno, Rik Emmit, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson, and the rest of the best :)

  • Awesome sounding slur at 3:52. It adds so much.

  • This is an almost perfect guitar solo. Nuno displays perfect execution and beautiful phrasing. I agree that he is very underrated.

  • @noahwayne Admit what, that both guys are great players? OK. And I'll also admit that I'm not some idiot that looks at musicians as athletes as if they're in some sort of lame ass competition. If you like Nuno better, so be it. But don't try and dictate to me who is better because that's largely a matter of opinion. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years. Last thing i need is some joker telling me someone else is better as if it's fact. That's just stupid.

  • @bandit7498 But Nuno does and so does Joe Bonamassa..Vai is done. Dull modal shit that really has no soul. I loved Vai but he has been surpassed now..admit it
