April 6, 2009: Day 1, Session 1 of my visit to the Airkix indoor wind tunnel in Milton Keynes, which is 30min north of London by train. Today's goal was to learn asymmetric sit-flying. It's amazing how much more surface area (and therefore lift) you get by flying this way, and I'm gonna be working on this a bunch in the coming days. Everything really started to click on my third flight of this session.
The place was PACKED all day long with fliers (many of whom were young kids), so they didn't have enough instructors to allow me to continue my work on head-down flight. Hopefully I can get some of that in tomorrow!
Music is from Dvorak's 9th Symphony, first movement.
