Yes, dg3, this is one of the first. Within months, the labels said 'Directed by Jack Hylton', which paid off handsomely for him 2 years later.

Hylton had the same entrepreneurial genius as Walt Disney, creating the 'show band' concept, branching out into West End theatre productions and employing 800 at the height of his carreer ! He died in 1965.

Hylton is astounding. For that part of the '20's already higher quality musicianship and execution. In my estimation Hylton blew the doors of Paul Whiteman.
