@pcass31 right, your digging a hole for yourself here so I'm going to let you carry on thinking that, but I'll retort on one point that I missed in your first comment.
If, hypothetically your were about to crash what would you rather head for, a 100m of gravel trap, or a brick wall. I think most would go for a gravel trap, F1 is all safety measures these days.
