Compare Dennis' performance here with "Suddenly", his other duet with Olivia. It's like two different men. He possesses a natural acting ability and a strong screen presence. I bet he would have been terrific in "Grease".

I love this chance to see Dennis here! He was part of ONJ's show in the 80s, yet so few vids seem to available from his season. Their duet of Suddenly is by far the best version I've heard...shame it was pulled at Youtube. Dennis is always touring now, away from his former Buckinghams band; and, whether he's doing his Bobby Darin show, or on tour with other frontmen from the Sixties, don't pass on a chance to see him perform live! He'll knock your socks off!!

@krugcpa Well, I'll let you know when I hear him singing. All I hear is him shouting.

oh what a dissapointment, I thought it was J.Travolta...

You actually realize that John Travolta at the time was a major movie star, and was not going to perform with Olivia on her concert tour right? She had to pick someone that was going to perform the song at a HIGH level and satisfy a majority of her fan base. That person was Dennis Tufano. In my opinion he did an adaquate job.

A listen to Dennis's body of vocal work on YouTube leads quickly to the conclusion that he is obviously a much better singer than John. Here Dennis is a professional and gives the audience what they want - an imitation of John. Nearly anything Dennis sings is better than the original version, but that doesn't mean fans will prefer Dennis' version. Do a YouTube search for "How Can I Be Sure" where he covers the Rascals hit ,and you'll see what I mean.
