Top Thrill Dragster - Construction Tour (March 2003)

This video shows some of the construction of Top Thrill Dragster, the 420-foot Intamin Rocket Coaster at Cedar Point. Shot during a March 2003 construction tour thanks to Janice Witherow. The majority of footage shown was taken near the base of the 420-foot tower. When the coaster opened it was the world's tallest.

I just remember looking at the thing and saying "No frickin way!" But now I try to ride it a few times a year. This past year I was lucky enough to get on this 4 times in a row with little wait despite heavy crowds.

@CP5626 - I usually try and ride it was often as I can as well. I only went to CP a few times last year so I didn't get a lot of rides on it.

I can't believe it's been 7 years either. I do have the moment of me seeing it on the causeway for the first time on video but I didn't include it as I say plenty of dirty words. =:^)
