Having a survival book collection should be on every prepper's to-do list! I started mine about 6 months ago, and this is what I have so far. I use online book trading sites as well as visit my local good will and Value Village and pick up great survival books for literally pennies on the dollar. I like http://www.paperbackswap.com and http://www.bookmooch.com the most, I've been on paperbackswap for about a year now, and I've gotten probably 10-12 books from it. I get a book about once a month. I haven't found a book I wanted on bookmooch yet, but I've sent 5 books in the past 2 months since joining... So I'm just in the waiting line for some good ones, but I have lots of points now. Basically, you post a book, someone requests it, you send it, you get a point, then use that point to request any other book, then they pay to send it to you. So it works out to about even, but I always just go to goodwill and get shitty popular books like Twilight and those get requested right away, then I request big, rare survival manuals. Totally a great trade if you ask me!! Check em out!!

  • The world without us is a great book!!! I love that book!!

  • @dirtysteve40 Ah I still haven't read it, I guess it'll go up a few spots in the que then lol

  • Sound evil... basically stealing all that water.

Some preppers are just evil.. survival off the fittest I know but what ever happened to working together? We are not animals.. that old time one man live and the rest dies is old school and its not for the civilised.

how about relocating and digging a well? purifying rainwater? more for everyone? sigh...

How many innocent people will be killed by preppers when tshtf? If we come together and work together no one needs to die, like that anyway :(

  • @DaniaOMGWania working together is fine and dandy, but people who are not used to having the luxuries of food water and things to keep them busy like television and internet will get agitated quickly, and hungry people will start making very desperate and dangerous decisions. Im all for everyone having enough for themselves and a few people if possible, but if your stuck living in an apt, its that or move out to who knows where.

  • @Prepper7 But dont you think you would eentually have to move out? if shtf, everybody should go back to the soil... thats my opinion.

A concrete jungle can feed no one.

  • I read a good book, I dont know if its to childish but its called "The Compound" S. A. Bodeen any ways I read it back when I was a fresh man in highschool
