A magnificent rendition of Shyama Shasthri's Swarajathi in raga Bhairavi on Goddess Kamakshi by Prince Rama Varma. Though this is a Swarajathi, it is more sophisticated in it's construction than many keerthanams and not an easy piece to do justice to. Prince Rama Varma, accompanied by Parur M.A.Sundareswaran on the violin, B.Harikumar on the mridangam, Manjoor Unnikrishnan on the ghatam and Kottayam Murali on the morsing, brings out the beauty of the song in all it's glory. When I tell him that his version of Kamakshi is my favourite, he says that M.D.Ramanathan's version is His
favourite!
Amazing Rama Varmaji!!! Running short of words to describe how much your rendition appeal to rasikas ....kudos to you :))
