The tribal Baloch are either Brahvi or Sulemani descent while the Makrani Baloch trace their ancestory to the Arabs and Africans of the Muslim armies that came during and after Muhammad bin Qasim. Many Makranis are of Yemeni-East african descent. There is even a tomb of Hazrat Bilal (raa) the great Sahabi of Prophet Muhammad(saw) near Gwadar. Mekranis were the first to spread islam in and around sindh. Lt Gen (R) AbdulQadir Baloch of Pakistan Army Belongs to Mekran.

The governments of Oman and Iran have their reservations against development of city and people of Gawadar as Oman recruits Mekrani people in its army while Iran will get tough competition for its own port at Chahbahar. India has invested a lot of money and resources in Chahbahar. The government of Pakistan has reserved 2 million employment opportunities only for people of Gwadar and Balochistan.

The way Dubai destroyed Karachi's airport, Gwadar will destroy the Dubai port. Going to Gwadar, you save a day and half trip.

Government should give highest priority to local Balochis in Gwadar project, this will make them assure that we are not hijacking their lands, rather what we want to do is the development. If they are engineers, we should employ them for the construction and development, let us give them what they deserved, its really too bad we have neglected in such a big time of 60 years.
