I bought this engine online and was surprised when I got it...
It was listed as a Briggs and Stratton model "N". When I unpacked it and looked at the tag it had an '8" stamped on it?

  • Kind of looks like my 1950 model 5s! Nice little engine!

  • @97bonneville They are kind of similar, thanks!

  • Those old B&S engines are very nice...I used to have a 1935 "A" with aluminum block and head which I purchased at an estate sale for $8. It was a long-stroke engine, rated 1 1/2hp @1600rpm but it had torque more like a 3.5hp engine.

  • @douro20 I would buy all 5 could at that price!

  • @outdoorsman310 The NOS term is for "New Old Stock" where the engine has never been run.

  • @Hallaran does nos stand for nitrous oxide or are you referring to something else

  • @outdoorsman310 I have not made a video because this engine is NOS and I hesitate to run it....
