yea im getting ubuntu on my ps3 this very moment , and i can't get beryl on it? thats one of the main reasons why i got it, i was also thinking that the ps3's graphics card would even make it better.

No,beryl or any other GL based desktop interface is not possible... well, more like not allowed since the GPU is locked out when in linux.

Since the PS3 is linux based, is it possible to install Beryl onto a PS3 console? You can install Fedora.

VMware is not free. But you can use Qemu, or KVM, and they are free.

iam really really confused man! i know now that also linux too!???? wt the hell is going on! there are sooo many versions! its hurting my head! cud u plz if u can give me a low down of what going on in the crazy world of linux. soz too be such a pain! lol but i wanna give linux a try.

go to distrowatch dot com to learn about best Linux distros.
Ubuntu, SUSE, Fedora are the best ones (most popular)
You can get a bootable live CD/DVD so you can try and see without reinstalling windows

hey der, its me again lol. sorry 4 botherin u again. i understand that 'Beryl 0.1.4' is a version of linux if iam correct? but wts 'FC6' and wt does it do?

Beryl is not a Linux. it is just an OpenGL accelerated desktop for Linux!
FC6 is fedora core 6. Now they have Fedora 7!

linux kickes ass! my XP got fucked up so much lately, i reinstalled it like 5 times, but suse 10.1 is still working like the first day i instaled it. only thing is you can not play all games in linux (but you can use something like: wine, for some games) wish i had started with linux when i got my first pc, now i need to learn everything, not easy when you are used to windows (glad i got some help of an expert, otherwise it would be one hell of a job(i think) :P)
