  • Dont get me wrong here.I look upto to steve jobs. But saying that Microsoft lacks original ideas whereas apple took Xerox's GUI idea is kind of wrong. Please correct me if wrong

  • @The20101991 Apple licensed the Xerox GUI, but what xerox had was half-baked.

Apple completed the vision to make it something meaningful for society and they did this by bringing culture into their products.

This was the point Steve (R.I.P) was making.

In later years he defined Apple at the intersection of technology and liberal arts - that's where original ideas flourish.

Microsoft (and Google) didn't and still doesn't get that.

  • john sculley you idiot... fix your description

  • @bmoreraves27 you right. but i would ask you to be more respectful when responding to someone online as you would if you spoke to me in person.

  • steve jobs the plantation owner with 2 million chinese slaves. Karma got ya stevie! Good riddance.

  • he sad...i tears

  • @captaink99 i'd say that to you in person.

  • is it me or is it that most Steve Jobs quotes from the biography can be found on Youtube...?

  • @bigtakeshi Almost all the documentary tapes were lost in the mail. The director of the documentary found a VHS copy of the interview in his basement a few months ago and it this interview was aired in its entirety in a few select theaters. I was one of the few who visited the theatre and watched it. I also met the interviewer, Robert X. Cringeley who did a Q&A session after the interview had done playing at the theater.

  • what doc. is this from? I'd be interested in watching the whole thing.

  • @Anavengertg i don't see how that makes you lucky? In the few, definitely, but how do you know most haven't watched it in full.

  • I'm one of the lucky few who has watched this interview in full =0)

  • @jshowa5 yes the TCP/IP stack had been in UNIX years before NextSTEP.
