Ringing St Clements at St Sampsons church in Cricklade. There are 6 bells hung anti-clockwise. There is a 70 ft draft of rope. Please rate.

  • You don't have to be religious to ring bells.

  • Are the ropes guided?

  • Look at 1:15 there are two brown things on the corner of each tower going up which guide the rope. However, if the rope goes up wonky it comes down even wonkier.

  • @1BODGER95 They are guided, but the guides are too high up!!

  • These bells were a nightmare to ring, anti clockwise and biggest draft ive ever seen!

  • They can do if they want. It doesn't really put you off much.

  • That would be so hard to ring. Not only backwards, but so far apart. Do people actually come in and sit in the pews while they're ringing?
