really not impressed by the marketing guff of collectable cards and bible etc...

you can fined Chinese cameras for five dollars each at flea markets that will give you the same type of photos without having to spend the astronomical price they expect you to pay for lomo.
lomography is all hype to sell crappy cameras at premium prices.

Men some people say "Oh it's expensive"
This is not expensive, let's take a look at a Leica M7. That's expensive.
-
the thing is.. you would have to have a creative mind to understand lomography... canon and nikon are great but lomo is fun and has his own style. yea these cameras are crappy and all but creative. its more like experimental photography.
-
lol... I don't assume everyone uses either Canon or Nikon... I only assume people who talk about the resale value of their cameras uses Canon or Nikon, because it's such a ridiculously gearfaggy thing to say.
P.S. 4chan is nothing but gearfags, so... yeah... you don't even know what you're talking about there.

@hossrex gb2 4chan, ignorantfag, and stop assuming everyone uses either Canon or Nikon.

I defy you to find me one person who bought into Holga because they thought their camera would be worth something someday. A lot of people treat Holgas like fashion accessories, sure, and those people are douches. I completely agree. Some people however love what a toy camera produces, and simply use it for the experience, and the photographs.
Not everyone is a Nikon/Canon gearfag like you.

Actually he was. The Holgas selling point is that it's crappy, but cheap.
The ACTUAL problem here is that THESE cameras aren't cheap. If your Holga didn't come in a simple black box, with a blue band on top of it, you overpaid, and missed the point.

Something just doesn't sit right with watching a used car salesman try to sell overpriced Holgas.

this is so awesome!

I've never seen anything like any of those, it looks incredible but bulky o.o

I'm just glad you can voice your honet opinion here. Who knows what makes a cultural phenomenon other than possible advertising. Like the Jonas Bros. as opposed to the Who

Wow! Lots of haters on this one. Well, a camera that costs about 30 bucks, and gives you unique results is worth it. Probably right about the resale value. Of course my Nikon N90 film camera isn't worth that much on the open market.
