  • Hey guys, PLEASE stop suggesting universities we should ask.. we really have asked them ALL.. a number of times each.. NONE of them were interested.

    Sorry.

(If you really want to do something.. you could contact the universities and suggest that they list the information on the directory!!)

  • Thanks for your hard work.

Even though if you get accepted at the university, you have to be ready to blow a huge load of money annually. (I do think that at least it won't fall under 10000$). That's of course not counting living expenses, rent and similar stuff. Is that even possible for medium class people? No! I wish to study there but the truth hurts hurts hurts..!

  • Japaneses education is the devil. All study, no life.

  • @Paganbreeze $10,000 a year is actually pretty affordable compared to many US universities. I'll be transferring to University of Florida which is one of the most affordable schools and even the estimated cost for that is around $20,000 per year.

So at least to many Americans, $10,000 per year seems like a good price for an education.

  • Crazy theory: They secretly don't like foreign students because they come and cause "havok" and don't respect Japanese culture.

  • the answer to this? Learn Japanese!

  • Why notjust got to IIT in India instead? After all it's ranked 350th in the world.

  • J universities are worried about Educating the Enemy.

  • @wiseguy12851 I´m no expert, too. But I can contribute something to that. What I heard is that the selection tests are probably harder than we imagine. Many high schools focus 2 years of teaching onto tests of certain universities because the harder the test the "better" is the school. At least in the minds of many Japanes. BUT here it comes: In fact the universitary teaching is not that hard. Even european students could handle it with an ease.

  • Old Dude: I wish we could start a fund to buy you one of these gopro hd cameras for your "car talks". They have a nice super wide angle lens and that way we could see both you and out the car windows much much better. I got $10 towards it right here...

  • I see. Their passiveness raises my level of curiousness... Ninja tactics :D

  • I've never been to Japan so I'm certainly not an expert, but I think Japanese Universities hold a higher standard than other Universities in the world because I've heard many Japanese people themselves can't get in, not just because of the price but because of the testing they do as well. I've heard from many people that they are very selective for the students that come in and only take on the best students. If this is true then that's probably that's why global publicity isn't wanted by them.
