Ray is an awesome man and preacher, and he was asked to resign because the Session of which I was part, realized that reconciliation was not going to happen. We chose to save a small but significant rabble rousing group in the church who were immature, irrational and out of control, instead of defending a good man who had some leadership limitations but was preaching boldly and shaking the foundations of idolatry and mediocrity in a stale church.
