I didn't think it was possible to talk about a lighter for 10 minutes... now I know better. Interesting!

@grendelhp but a awful short time for a lighter review.
i also disagree that a 1y warranty is good for something this pricey. i would liked at least 2-3 years warranty. Zippo comes with a life-time warranty (accept on the parts that are EASILY and CHEAP to replace). in general i appreciate the review.
it's fairly good, but disagree with one statement and we all would like to see him "play with fire" some more.

why were they discountinued i want one

Bruton lighers were discontinued along with all camping gear.

Also- another CON of this lighter- the little switch/lever that adjusts the flame falls out. It's not held in place!
And you mentioned you want the lid attached to the body. Put a small piece of cord connecting from the lanyard hole to one of the holes in the clip!
80 MPH wind test suggestion, head out to I-10 at night and have someone else drive!

I can't believe how many of you didn't see him light it! He even held the lid behind it to show the blue flame!! Pay close attention!!!! Nice video captain!!!!

2nd part of my question (first one went over 500 letters):
I'm not a smoker so I don't know how long a Bic lighter lasts and I'm wondering if you need to refill the lighter after a few uses during camping, therefore the need to carry spare butane.

Great questions, but I honestly couldn't tell you any scientific measurement. I can tell you that with light use (ie maybe just for starting camp fires) you will get lots of use out of this before it needs a refill. I would say you could light a hundred campfires before needing a refill? This is only a guess, but the I keep in the car does not get refilled very often. Unless of course you end up wasting a lot of gas at really high elevation trying to get it to ignite. Which I've done.
