the guy who shot sonnys an Artard cause they killed him right away look at how many people piled on him!

Yeah, this is kind of a mediocre film until the end, after Sonny is shot. The end in the funeral home is brilliant.

i never picked up on that aspect of the movie...it rings true..you are right...but again...those who live by the sword ..die by the sword...still the movie had an impact on me...because i grew up knowing people like the ones in the movie...i just did not know they were mafia...sonny and all those guys were people i knew an lived around all the time..it took this movie...to define things...

I also just had a thought watching this scene. The scene is set in 1968, the year King and RFK were killed. The shot of Sonny lying on the floor, blood coming from his head, is eerily similar to RFK's killing.
