$29,000 is up for grabs on the Joker Machine. Can the champion win it? This also includes a rare audience game

  • A cassette car stereo. Oh man.... The Wave of the Future.

  • That was a good round. At least the bonus round didn't change too much as was an acceptable bonus round to me. What was good about this episode was that we got to see the rare audience game; I give it credit for simplicity but it would have been less confusing just to get rid of the prizes & replace them with dollar amounts from $100-$1,000 in my opinion. Other than that; it was a great way to fill time rather than just stretch out a short conversation. This episode is 4 star, it's just okay.

  • SO would the Jokers and Devils be FTD Version 1 (and the most familiar version be FTD Version 2)?

  • Actually this was first used on the original version of TJW (both the pilot hosted by Allen Ludden and when it was on CBS), but it was scrapped in favor of the "Jokers and Devils" bonus round. This "Jokers and Devils" bonus round later evolved into the "Face the Devil" bonus round seen on syndication.

  • That's up on YouTube...whammypower788 has that ep.

  • can I see that episode please.

  • $100.

  • I like both the 70s/80s and this run. There is no preference, both versions were great.

  • Pat Finn was a good host..now if he and Patrick Wayne had switched places, TJW '90 would be cancelled very quickly. In fact, you put Patrick Wayne on ANY game show, and you're asking for that show to be canned!

  • I liked this version of JW, and the theme music is repetitive but upbeat nevertheless. Wish USA Network still aired these old game shows.
