Tortoise hatchlings eating romaine lettuce

A few week old tortoise hatchlings eating some romaine lettuce. Not the best type of food for them, but still one of the better lettuce varieties concerning the nutritional value (lettuce is mostly water, good tortoise food should have a high calcium and fiber content).

I just got two new russian tortoises and they are opposite sexes so hopefully ill be able to get one of these cute little babies some day in the next like 50 years haha

I loved this! I have two adult Russians that I have had for 7 years and the female had layed her first succesful clutch of eggs only one hatched the other egg I'm not so sure..this is my first baby Russian tortoise can't believe how tiny he or she is!! Just hatched two days ago it hasn't really started eating yet, but yours sure look like agressive eaters! Very cute!
