  • @murdockqotsa And what if the guy tucks his arm that you are trying to grab into his side? It's gonna be much harder to pull this off, giving him more time to reach for a weapon. Now, if you are doing this for sport, fine, but this should not be seen as a viable technique for the street.

  • @Kaleefurneeia If you are already in this position, he could easily pull a knife or a gun out with his other hand. Get my point? I know this is for sport, that is why everything you see in UFC is a joke when people try to use it thinking that's the way to fight. This is a nice technique but is not practical for real world application.

  • Thank you very much for the last tip, that'll help me a lot.

  • @KungFuKid1015 Once you got your hands locked on his, you've already won. He tries punching you with the other hand and you break his arm/shoulder. If he has a knife, you ideally isolate the hand with the knife instead.

That's another important thing about having your weight on him. He won't be able to get any distance and won't be able to generate any force if he decides to start punching you.

Trust me, this is a great technique for many different purposes.

  • @KungFuKid1015 who the hell said this was a street defense video? this is for brazilian jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts. in the street if you're on top and they had a knife, you'd be pinning that wrist and punching them as hard as you could in the face, or standing up and stomping their throat/nose

  • actually you want to use a c-grip on the wrist and put as much torque on the wrist as you can. check out catch wrestling, this is their bread and butter move and they always teach it by putting a good twist on the wrist if you can (among other details). they call it the "double wrist lock".

  • This is a very nice technique, just like the americana, but this is not very practical on the street. But great for sport! The reason I say it's not practical for street is because, when are you gonna get the chance to use it? While you're trying to pull that off, what stops them from jamming a knife into your body with their other hand? So that is the only problem I have. Their other hand is free to attack you and do damage.

  • @123unknownsoldier126 Lol "genocide are stuck on."

  • @LilBlitz116 tell that to sakuraba!

  • good video mate!
