Hi. I watched your previous pineapple video and the top of mine was a lot smaller than yours. I had to leave it in some water for a while until I got a pot and some soil. Most of the leaves have died now and I can pick off easily, but there are 3 thick dark green ones that grew up, and a few of the other ones are green on the bottom. When it was in the water, it was able to grow lots of little roots. At this stage, do you think it will still take, or is it dying?

@Pandaman1551 Sounds like it divested itself of some leaves to survive the shock and is starting to make a rebound. Get it in soil and in the light so it can continue.

I failed at the pineappl.... i pulled back some of the leafs and put it in a glass of water for a week before putting it in soil but it molded before before i could re plant it...what did I do wrong/

if the dark vs light pot theory works, then i am going to experiment with my heat loving plants like peppers and drill holes at the bottom and place them in a mote, i am thinking about placing pvc or other available sticks/rods i have around and making a little minigreenhouse for these 5 gallon buckets, free from bakeries

I'm going to try to grow a pineapple sometime, probably in the spring..That Elephant Ear is beeeeuuuutiful! I've seen a dark purple/or black version of it at a zoo once. Have you seen those?? I think it's called a Black Magic One or something like that..When you let it die and bring the bulb inside in the winter do you just put the bulb away in a paper bag until spring or something?? How do you store the bulb?
