i've had this nightmare of a disease for a year now, it really pisses me off, i have bad anxiety so it makes it worse also... anytime i'm up the town i have to go to the toilet about 3-4 times, it's embarrassing when heading up with my mates, they keep asking me why i have to go so much, it's wrecked my social life, i hardly even head out the door anymore even at weekends... the doctor put me on spasomal capsules but think they aren't really helping... also on citalopram to treat the anxiety

Feeling your pain mate. Had it for just over a year. Constant stomach cramps etc and got diagnosed with it a month ago. I have some tips that have helped me. I stay away from milk and any dairy rich foods. I take peppermint oil capsules that are enteric coated and im going to take up yoga. Been a big improvement since these things. Give it a try because there are different ways to manage it. Hope things get better for both of us.

@seanw23 well i cant personally use it because im allergic. ironic huh. but after using those pills for a good while, i no longer have symtoms. and i have no need for them anymore. but try out pepto, it might just work for you

how are you allergic?
plus, i don't as much have any of the symptoms they're talking bout here, (not sure), but what's going on is: my bowels is sometimes soft, i had like diarrhea once or twice. that's about it.
i dunno if pepto might help

@seanw23 well, whenever i take it, it makes me feel worse than i had. so i have to throw it up. my doctor told me that i am. And you dont necessarily need all those symptoms. Do you get diarrhea quite often? or just a few times?
