@CenaTv2 I think they mean continuously running, with fresh, new episodes. They've only just finished making new Last of the Summer Wine episodes, after filming for over 30 years. Besides, Last of the Summer Wine is a much better ambassador for British comedy than Benny Hill ever was. I mean, I'm a Mexican-American from Texas and I find Last of the Summer Wine hilarious, something I never found Benny Hill to be.

it also falsy adverstises that its the longest running comedy in the world. that is incorrect. The Benny Hill Show is the longest running comedy show running for over 42 years
